Working from Home
A film by Charlotte Taylor (student film 2020-21)
‘Working from Home’ offers a new perspective on what it meant to be a young person working during the Coronavirus pandemic. Many of us passed the time in lockdown with excessive retail therapy, but what did this surge in online sales mean for the people behind the screen? This film tells the story of a young customer service advisor through one of the busiest times that online retail has ever seen. Follow Emily through her year of working from home; the highs, the lows and everything in between - all within the same four walls.
“Young people all across the nation have played a monumental part in contributing to the economy during the pandemic, at times to the detriment to their mental well-being; their voices deserve to be heard. ”
This film was produced as part of the BA Media programme at Keele University.
